OUR WORK
A collection of bikes renovated with passion

ABOUT
My name is Ken Mott, but feel free to call me Wish-- it's been my nickname since I was a child. Dirt bikes are now and always have been my passion. I started riding and working on bikes at 14, then racing at 29. Desert racing was my specialty. I earned a first place Grad Prix championship trophy in 2003 in the novice division. I quickly moved through the amateur class and in my later forties turned expert. In 2017 I earned a third place Grand Prix in the expert class. My life has taken me many directions since then, but I've never stopped riding completely, nor do I plan to, although injury has kept me from racing. With an intimate love for and knowledge of dirt bikes I started Wishbone's Dirt, where I build and restore custom engines and whole bikes. Dirt bikes are my passion. I love every part of it; from riding them, to watching the races, to building a beautiful bike. It runs though my veins.

From 1999-2003 I was the driver, mechanic, and pit man for my cousin James Summers, who raced for Kawasaki in The National Hare and Hound Series and District 37 National Gran Prix Series. Later, he raced for Sportsman Cycles KTM for the Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada (MRAN) and Worx Racing Series. He was trained to be a mechanic by Frederick Ferracci of Fast by Ferracci and both Mike and Dallas Baker of Protech Racing and Performance Engines. He passed his skills along to me and still works with Wishbone's Dirt for porting, polishing, and other services.
We have been fortunate enough to Partner with Frank Vrettas of Dunlops Legends And Heroes Motocross Museum at AMA Opener races 2023-24 at Fox Raceway and hope to show more bikes with them.

Creating ridable, retro artwork is my craft of choice. The bikes I make are beautiful, fun, and unique- but they also ride like a dream. After all, stock bikes are for showrooms and museums! Check out the PORTFOLIO for projects I've done in the past. Need an engine rebuild, facelift for your 2 or 4-stroke, or a fun new toy to play around with? We build dirt bikes of all brands (no electric), from vintage dirt restorations to full custom retro-mods and race bikes. We also rebuild complete engines and service forks, shocks, top end, and provide most other services. We're not working on quads or three wheelers at this time.
Reach out at the bottom of the page. I'm currently accepting new projects! Project quotes are always free, and I'm always looking for something fun.
